Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a fast-paced, high-acuity rural Emergency Department position on night shift with weekend rotation requirements.

Details

• Emergency Department setting in a 205-licensed-bed hospital, the region's largest and most comprehensive ED with a Free Standing ED
• 20-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:4, up to 1:5 during surge
• Uses Paragon EHR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Must work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• AHA certifications required
• Preferred experience with peripheral IV, stroke, sepsis, and STEMI care
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Work in a high-paced, high-acuity rural Emergency Department
• Joint Commission accredited Duke Lifepoint hospital with an 'A' LeapFrog Hospital Safety Rating
• Scrub colors accepted: black, navy, and royal blue
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
