Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ER RN for a night shift at a Level I Trauma Center requiring TNCC, ACLS, and BLS credentials. Travel experience and Epic charting are preferred, with open campus rotations and no on-call requirements.

The role emphasizes care across adult and pediatric emergencies, STEMI/stroke certification, and a typical 7:00 PM–7:30 AM schedule with 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratios. Local candidates within 75 miles are not considered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required.
• BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required.
• PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications preferred.
• 2 years ER experience preferred; will consider 1.5 years from similar hospital or 1-2 travel assignments with 3+ years experience.
• Travel experience required.
• Level I or II Trauma Center experience preferred.
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Department setting, combined Adult/Pediatric.
• Level I Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke certification.
• Average patient ratio of 1:6.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:30 AM).
• Every other weekend required.
• No on-call requirements.
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs.
• Open to block scheduling.
• Assigned to one campus with possibility of rotating to other campuses.
• Epic charting system used.
• Provide emergency nursing care across a broad range of acute and trauma presentations including trauma, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and behavioral health cases.

• BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
• PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications preferred
• 2 years of ER experience preferred; will consider 1.5 years from a similar hospital or 1-2 completed travel assignments with 3+ years of experience
• Travel experience required
• Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• Skilled in emergency care across pediatrics, psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, cardiac, and orthopedic patient populations
• 1 professional reference required

• Royal blue scrub color required
• RTO requests greater than 7 days require additional approval
• Local candidates not accepted; candidates within 75 miles of the facility are considered local
• Former staff must be separated from the facility for at least 2 years before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only
