Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Maryland. MD or Compact RN license required and a minimum of 2 years ER experience.

You will work in a high-volume ED serving adults and children, with 3x12 hour day/mid shifts, every other weekend, and the possibility of floating to sister SRH EDs. Onboarding includes CPI on-site; first-time travelers are welcome.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) required.
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
• CPI certification completed on-site during onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Fast-paced, high volume general emergency department treating combined adult and pediatric populations.
• Patient ratio of 1:4, up to 1:5 for lower acuity patients.
• Wide range of complex diagnoses spanning pediatric through geriatric populations.
• STEMI and Stroke certified facility.
• Rotating Day/Mid shifts, 3x12 hours (7:00-19:30 or 11:00-23:30), primarily days with possible mid-shift rotation as needed.
• Every other weekend required.
• Floating required within specialty and to other sister SRH EDs as needed.
• No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required.
• Provide emergency care across a wide range of complex, multi-diagnosis cases from pediatric through geriatric patients.
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled.
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of offer, as the department cannot accommodate RTO during holiday weeks.
• First-time travelers with strong experience and skillset are welcome to apply.
