Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department in a critical access hospital setting. The role requires 1–2 years of ER experience and the ability to float between Med Surg and ER units.

Active RN license (CO or Compact) and certifications (BLS/ACLS/TNCC/PALS) are required. Night shifts are 12 hours, with travel housing and licensure support offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required, 2 years preferred
• Comfortable floating between Med Surg and ER units

Responsibilities

• Critical access hospital setting located 2.5 hours from the nearest large hospital
• Floats between Med Surg and ER as needed
• Patient population includes trauma cases from a nearby major highway as well as elderly and general medical patients
• 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a)
• Uses CPSI EMR system
• Provide emergency nursing care for a wide variety of illnesses and injuries, including trauma and elderly patient care
• Manager interview and offer required before placement
• Works in a critical access hospital environment supporting a broad range of acute and emergent conditions
