Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a 13-week days assignment in Marion, IA. Requires 24 months of recent Emergency Department experience and an active IA or compact RN license. Epic EMR experience is required.

Shift options range 0500–1730 or 0700–1930 with every 4th weekend. Travel and licensure reimbursements are offered. Qualifications include active IA/compact license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, TNCC, NIHSS; de-escalation certs preferred; must have a valid driver’s license and travel

Qualifications

• Active IA or compact/multistate RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
• TNCC certification required.
• NIHSS certification required (may obtain during onboarding).
• CPI, MOAB, MAB, or SAMA de-escalation certification preferred (may obtain during onboarding).
• Minimum 24 months of recent ER/ED experience required.
• Travel contract within the previous 18 months required.
• Driver's license required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 34-bed Emergency Department with a mixed patient population.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1.
• Performs drips and titrations.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Day shift flexing between 0500-1730 and 0700-1930 based on staffing and census.
• Every 4th weekend required.
• No on-call requirements.
• Floats between Marion freestanding ED and St. Luke's Hospital ED.
• Scrub colors: black, navy blue, or Caribbean blue solids.
• Work 1-2 of 3 upcoming holidays unless the unit is closed.
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Past UnityPoint Health employees not eligible.

• Minimum 24 months of recent Emergency Room/Emergency Department experience required
• Must have completed a travel contract within the previous 18 months
• Supervisory performance evaluation or reference from within the past 24 months preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
