American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department assignment in Ohio, requiring OH or compact licensure and prior ED experience.

The role includes flexible nights (3x12s), travel across campuses, and floating to nearby facilities. Strong emphasis on trauma/cardiac/neuro-patient care, with EPIC EMR usage and travel requirements.

Formación

• RN license in OH or compact license required.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI/AVADE/CalmEveryStorm.
• NIHSS certification required; MAB and OCN certifications preferred.
• Minimum 1.5–2 years of Emergency Department experience.
• Travel nursing experience required.
• Teaching hospital and Level I/II Trauma Center experience preferred.
• Experience with patient ratio of 1:4.
• Lab work and EKG/Dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of contract signing.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring OH or compact RN licensure and prior ED experience.

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, and CPI/AVADE/CalmEveryStorm
• NIHSS certification required; MAB and OCN certifications preferred
• BSN or Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Minimum of 1.5-2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital and Level I/II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Experience with patient ratio of 1:4
• Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, starting/maintaining IVs, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, ABG interpretation, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation monitoring, CVA and neuro-trauma care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, and triage
• Preferred skills include arterial line management, phlebotomy, neuro-trauma (spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury), gunshot wound and traumatic amputation care, head injury and near drowning care, and ortho trauma
• Lab work and EKG/Dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing

Responsibilities

• Work in a combined adult/pediatric Emergency Department within a trauma center
• Flexible night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, with shift times ranging from 17:00-05:30 or 19:00-07:30
• Required to work every other weekend and holiday
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Floating expected within the hospital or to other nearby facilities within specified mileage, based on census and skill set
• No restrictions or special requests regarding floating assignments
• Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of trauma, cardiac, neurological, and pediatric cases
• Support the nursing care team when floated to other units, including high-risk respiratory/COVID units
• Up to 24 hours of orientation modules are billable
• Maximum of 14 days RTO allowed per contract, with no negotiation after an offer is made
• References are not required for consideration
• Local candidates are not accepted; local radius is 50 miles
• Must reside less than 10-15 miles from specified campuses if applicable to floating assignments
• Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 2 shifts per contract due to low census
• Agreement may be canceled with 2 weeks' notice without fee
• Previous PERM/PRN employees of the health system or prior agency travelers not extended due to tenure must wait 6 months before reapplying and require facility rehire approval
• Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives
