American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an ER RN for a Level II Trauma Center, handling combined adult/pediatric emergencies. CA RN license and 2+ years ER experience are required; certifications ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS are expected. Night 3x12s, weekends as needed, with floating as required.

Additionally, A Traveler must manage dysrhythmias, Arterial lines, IV therapy, sedation, and trauma care in a high-acuity setting, including neuro-trauma and orthopaedic injuries.

Formación

• Active CA RN license required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, MAB/CPI and NIHSS; PALS required.
• Minimum 2 years ER experience; Level II Trauma Center experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias and 12-lead EKGs.

Responsabilidades

• Treat general Emergency Department patients, adult and pediatric.
• Work at a Level II Trauma Center, STEMI and Stroke certified facility.
• Night shift 19:00-07:30; 3x12 hours.
• Every other weekend or more as unit needs; floating as required.
• Provide care across medical, psychiatric, trauma, and pediatric cases.
• Submit time-off requests with initial consideration; travel rules apply.

American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a Level II Trauma Center combined adult/pediatric emergency department requiring CA RN license and 2+ years of ER experience.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, MAB (or CPI), and NIHSS required; TNCC preferred
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with 12 lead EKG acquisition
• Proficient in arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and IV starts
• Experience with continuous IV paralytics, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration
• Neuro-trauma skills including CVA management, ICP monitoring, and traumatic brain/spinal cord injury care
• Experience managing ortho-trauma and applying splints
• Skilled in care of patients with abdominal pain, asthma, burns, epiglottitis, head injury, hyperglycemia, infections, respiratory infections, seizures, sickle cell crisis, skin disorders, and UTIs
• Experience identifying and reporting abuse or neglect
• Psychiatric/behavioral health skills including management of acute psychosis, drug overdose, violent behavior, psychiatric holds, and suicidal patients
• Respiratory skills including chest tube insertion/management, CPAP/BiPAP, ABG interpretation, intubation, and ventilator management
• Experience with shock/trauma cases including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
• Proficient in isolation precautions/PPE and triage

Responsibilities

• General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
• Level II Trauma Center, STEMI Certified Facility, and Stroke Certified Facility
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00-7:30
• Every other weekend required, or more depending on unit needs (Sunday not considered part of the weekend)
• Floating required based on facility needs
• Meditech charting system experience preferred but not required
• Provide emergency care across a broad range of medical, psychiatric, trauma, and pediatric cases
• Must submit requested time off at the time of initial consideration
• Former permanent employees must be separated from the facility for at least 365 days before returning as a traveler
• Travel pairs are not accepted for this assignment
