Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification (CST) preferred or required per state regulations.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent CVOR experience.
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical instrumentation and procedures.
• Current BLS certification.

As a CVOR Tech, you will play a critical role in supporting cardiovascular surgeons and the operating room team during complex cardiac and vascular procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and surgical excellence.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the cardiovascular operating room before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Ensure all instruments, supplies, implants, and equipment are available and functioning properly.

Anticipate the needs of surgeons during cardiac and vascular procedures.

Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention protocols.

Assist with procedures including CABG, valve replacements, TAVR, vascular surgeries, and other cardiovascular interventions.

Handle, prepare, and manage surgical instruments, grafts, and specialty cardiovascular equipment.

Participate in surgical counts and documentation according to hospital policy.

Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, perfusionists, nurses, and support staff.

Respond appropriately to emergency situations and maintain a calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Required

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.

Current Surgical Technologist certification (CST) preferred or required per state regulations.

Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical instrumentation and procedures.

Current BLS certification.

Preferred

Two or more years of dedicated CVOR experience.

Experience with open-heart procedures.

Knowledge of cardiovascular implants, grafts, and advanced surgical technologies.
