American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a cardiovascular operating room position in Texas. Requires heart transplant experience, active TX or compact RN license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS certification.

The role features a 13-week assignment, 7a–3p shift, rotating weekends, on-call, and 3–4 patient assignments with floating as needed. Meditech documentation used.

Responsibilities

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a cardiovascular operating room position requiring heart transplant experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact license required; temporary licenses will not be accepted
• Minimum 2 years of hospital or specialty experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Heart transplant experience required
• Preferred skills include adult and pediatric heart experience, intra-aortic balloon pump experience, cell saver experience, peripheral vascular experience, and Meditech experience
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) of a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment with a 7a-3p shift schedule
• Rotating weekends with on-call requirements
• 3-4 patient assignments, including admission holds
• Floating as needed
• Uses Meditech documentation system
• Procedures performed include coronary artery bypass, surgical valve replacements, adult heart transplant, TAVR, pediatric hearts, thoracic/lung procedures, and ventricular assist devices
• Provide perioperative nursing care for complex cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Facility provides scrubs for RN staff
• Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; facial hair must be clean and neatly trimmed
• Body art should be covered whenever possible
• Visible piercings other than ear piercings are prohibited
• Must maintain clean and healthy nails
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
