Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a CVOR assignment in Texas. Requires 2+ years in heart surgery and NBSTSA CST certification with BLS. Expect 13 weeks, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, with weekend rotations and on-call duties. Travel and licensure support provided.

Responsibilities include assisting in CABG, valve replacements, heart transplant procedures, and high-acuity CVOR cases with Meditech documentation. Housing and travel perks offered.

Qualifications

• NBSTSA CST credential is required; First Assist not accepted.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years hospital or specialty experience.
• Heart/cardiovascular surgery experience required, including heart transplant.
• Experience in pediatric heart, IABP, adult heart transplant, cell saver, vascular is preferred.
• Meditech experience preferred.
• State licensure if applicable.
• No employment gaps over 90 days in the past year.

Responsibilities

• Work in CVOR unit on the 5th floor South surgery department.
• 13-week assignment; 7:00 AM–3:00 PM with rotating weekends.
• On-call requirements and facility floating policy.
• Assist with cardiovascular procedures in high-acuity CVOR.
• Documentation in Meditech; typical cases include CABG, valve replacements, transplants, TAVR.
