Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a CVOR Surgical Technologist to provide sterile and technical support during cardiovascular and open-heart procedures. You will prepare the OR, instruments, and supplies while assisting the surgical team to ensure safe patient care with strict infection control.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and a Surgical Technology program; CVOR experience is preferred, as is CST and BLS certification per facility requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (Preferred)
• Previous CVOR or cardiovascular surgical experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Prepares the CVOR, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for cardiovascular procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique and assists with surgical procedures according to established standards.
• Passes instruments and supplies to surgeons and assists with surgical team needs.
• Performs instrument, sponge, and equipment counts before, during, and after procedures.
• Assists with specimen handling, surgical equipment setup, and room turnover.
• Maintains accurate documentation and follows infection control, safety, and sterile processing standards.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (Preferred)
• Previous CVOR or cardiovascular surgical experience (Preferred)

Licenses & Certifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification (Preferred or Required based on facility requirements)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
