Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of overall healthcare experience.
Minimum of 1 year of open heart surgical tech experience.
BLS certification is required.
Active license required; state or compact licensure depending on the state of submission.
Active certifications required; pending not accepted.
Two professional references with dates and rehire eligibility.
Copy of driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

Acute care CVOR unit with 6 operating suites.
Perform 20-30 cases per day including 1-2 CVOR cases or up to 4 TAVR procedures.
Assist with CABG and valve surgeries; Cerner EMR used for charting.
Monday-Friday schedule, 0600-1430, with 8 and 10-hour shifts.
On-call up to 50% after shift end and weekends; 30-minute response time.
Support from charge nurse and house supervisor on-site.
Scrub techs available; hospital scrubs provided.
Residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility for Arizona candidates.

Responsibilities

Acute care setting in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) unit, Main/West Campus
6 operating suites including 1 dedicated CVOR and 1 hybrid room
20-30 cases per day, including 1-2 cardiovascular cases or up to 4 TAVR procedures
Common cases include CABG, aortic valve, mitral valve, and TAVR procedures
Cerner EMR used for charting
Monday-Friday schedule, 0600-1430, with 8 and 10-hour shifts
On-call required up to 50% of the time after shift end through the next morning, with a 30-minute response time
On-call required up to 50% of weekends
Charge nurse and specialty leads available as resources; house supervisor on-site from 6pm to 7am
Scrub techs available to assist
Hospital provides scrubs
Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year; PRN employment through outside staffing firms will be considered
Facility requires permanent residence of at least 50 miles from the facility for Arizona-based candidates, as verified by driver's license
