Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group seeks a CVOR RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Phoenix, AZ on the Open Heart Surgery team. This travel contract offers a fast-paced perioperative environment with 40-hour weeks and 10-hour shifts.

The RN will provide expert perioperative cardiovascular nursing care, support the surgical team, and ensure patient safety throughout the procedure and recovery.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the applicable state.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Recent CVOR/Open Heart Surgery experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and open-heart surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room, equipment, supplies, and surgical instruments.
• Assist with patient positioning, surgical preparation, and intraoperative care.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection-prevention standards.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, surgical technologists, and other team members.
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes or emergencies.
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to surgical protocols.
• Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care as required.
• Promote patient safety throughout the surgical experience.

What You’ll Do

As a CVOR RN, you’ll be an essential member of the cardiovascular surgical team, providing expert nursing care throughout the perioperative process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular and open-heart surgical procedures
• Prepare the operating room, equipment, supplies, and surgical instruments
• Assist with patient positioning, surgical preparation, and intraoperative care
• Maintain strict sterile technique and infection-prevention standards
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, surgical technologists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes or emergencies

What We’re Looking For

• Active RN license in the applicable state
• Current BLS ,ACLS certification
• Recent CVOR/Open Heart Surgery experience
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and perioperative nursing practicesExcellent critical-thinking and clinical assessment skills
