Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring a CA RN license, 5 years of experience, and Trauma Level II hospital background.

Details

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab/Electrophysiology unit
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (7:00 AM-3:30 PM)
• Call shifts required on weekends and during the week
• Floating between sister facilities may be required
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active CA RN license (Compact license must be in hand at time of submission)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 5 years of Cath Lab/EP nursing experience required
• Trauma Level II hospital experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac cath lab and EP procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, TAVR, pacemaker insertion, and LAA closure
• Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring, procedural sedation, and vascular closure systems
• Experience administering cardiac and emergency medications, including antiarrhythmics and thrombolytics
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and EP procedures
• Support physicians during complex procedures such as TAVR, Watchman, and rotablator atherectomy
• Assist with vascular access, IV therapy, and central line management
• Perform patient monitoring and safety checks throughout procedures including EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia management
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer for consideration
• Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility unless applying as a local candidate
• Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
