Job summary
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cath Lab position in a Magnet Hospital. TX or compact RN license required, BLS/ACLS, and at least 1 year cath lab experience.
Day shift, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with on-call. Epic EMR experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Active TX or compact RN license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience.
- Proficiency in End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, ACT, cardioversion, circulation procedures, infection prevention, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, PPE, procedural sedation monitoring, 12-lead ECG, RASS, sheath removal/monitoring, vascular closure systems.
- Experience with vascular studies/procedures and cardiac cath lab procedures including stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, IABP and Impella placement, left/right heart catheterization, PCI.
- Preferred experience with angioplasty, carotid stenting, angiography, rotablator atherectomy, TAVR, pulmonary angiography, pulmonary embolization.
- Knowledge of cardiac medications including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency meds, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation agents, reversal agents, and thrombolytics.
- State-issued ID required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Circulate procedures and monitor patients during cath lab interventions.
- RTO limits: 5 non-consecutive days; local within 90 miles accepted at a lower bill rate.
