Job summary
American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP assignment in California. The role requires a CA RN license, BSN, and prior Cath Lab or IR experience at a teaching hospital.
The position involves a Cath Lab unit setting with diagnostic and interventional procedures, day shifts (4x10s), and potential float to UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius. Travel nursing experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- CA RN license required at time of submission.
- BSN required.
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab or IR experience required.
- Minimum 3-5 years of combined experience in PACU, ICU, CCU, and/or Cath Lab required.
- Minimum 5 years of clinic nursing experience required.
- Knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization and EP procedures, equipment, and sterile technique required.
- Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history.
- Prior travel nursing experience within the last 12 months required.
Responsibilities
- Cath Lab unit setting performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts and variable start times.
- Performs diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring.
- Administers and monitors procedural sedation and manages dysrhythmias.
- Epic EMR experience required.
- Float requirement to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius when qualified.

- Prior teaching hospital experience preferred
- Prior employment history with any University of California medical facility or acquired facility must be disclosed, including dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
- All RTO must be disclosed at time of submission and approved by the manager at time of offer
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
- No additional RTO requests accepted mid-contract
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
