American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab RN for a 13-week hospital assignment in Florida. Candidate must hold an active FL RN license, ACLS/BLS, and have STEMI experience with proficiency in balloon pump and Impella devices.

Responsibilities include performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, day shift hours, and on-call requirements. Travel-ready candidates are welcome; benefits include health coverage and 401(k) options.

Formación

• Florida RN license (active)
• ACLS and BLS certifications (ACLS/BLS)
• RN experience: 18+ months (2+ preferred)
• STEMI experience required
• Proficiency with balloon pump, Impella, atherectomy devices, cardiac meds/drips
• Experience with procedural sedation and dysrhythmia management
• One supervisor reference required
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required

Responsabilidades

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization in hospital Cath Lab
• Day shift: 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Perform left/right heart catheterization and Swan-Ganz monitoring
• Call required; evenings and weekends
• Floating within scope as needed for facility
• Charting in EMR system
• Provide nursing care for cath lab patients
• Monitor dysrhythmias and sedation during procedures
• Complete orientation modules promptly
• EKG/pharmacology tests with up to 2 retests
• Rotating holiday coverage
• New travelers welcome; local candidates on same bill rate
• Discuss time off during interview and finalize before consideration
• No return to this health system for 1 year post-end date
• Smoke-free facility; no call-in policy

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a 13-week hospital assignment requiring STEMI experience and proficiency with balloon pump and Impella devices.

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS certifications required, no pending certifications accepted at time of submission
• Minimum of 18 months RN experience required, 2 years preferred
• STEMI experience required
• Proficiency with balloon pump, Impella, atherectomy devices, cardiac medication drips, and emergency medications required
• Experience with procedural sedation administration/monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias required
• One professional reference from a direct supervisor, ANM, or director in the applicable specialty required
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required, medical/religious exemptions only

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Cath Lab performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Procedures include left and right heart catheterization and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
• Call required, including evenings and weekends
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• Charting system experience required (any EMR)
• Provide nursing care for diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization patients
• Monitor and manage dysrhythmias and procedural sedation
• Time-sensitive orientation modules must be completed promptly once confirmed for the assignment
• EKG and pharmacology tests required during orientation, with a maximum of 2 attempts each and no remediation for retesting
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis (every other holiday)
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• All requested time off must be discussed during the interview process and finalized prior to consideration
• Permanent or per diem staff cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Smoke-free facility with a strict no call-in policy
