American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week assignment in Mission Viejo, CA. Requires a CA RN license (compact acceptable), current BLS/ACLS, and a minimum of 3 years Cath Lab experience in a STEMI receiving center.

The role includes 1:1 patient care, 4x10 hour day shifts, and scheduled weekend call. Travel experience and Epic EMR proficiency are required, with potential floats to sister facilities near Laguna.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license (Compact accepted) and current BLS/ACLS.
• Minimum 3 years Cath Lab experience.
• Experience at a STEMI receiving center; Trauma Level II required; Level I preferred.
• Prior travel assignment experience required.
• Proficiency in diagnostic/interventional catheterizations, PCI, and sedation monitoring.
• Experience with emergency medications, antiarrhythmics, and IV vasopressors.

Responsabilités

• Circulate in the Cath Lab/EP unit; monitor sedation; 12-lead EKG interpretation.
• Work in STEMI receiving center with Trauma Level II designation.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week assignment requiring 3 years of Cath Lab experience and prior travel experience at a STEMI receiving center.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license (Compact license must be in hand at submission)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Prior travel assignment experience required (no first-time travelers, though strong candidates may be screened)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency in cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, sheath removal, vascular closure devices, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Experience with emergency medications, antiarrhythmics, and IV vasopressors

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cath Lab/EP unit of an acute care hospital with 488 staffed beds
• STEMI receiving center with Trauma Level II designation
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Call required: 2 weekend call periods (Friday evening through Monday morning) per 13-week contract
• Must be open to working weekends, likely exceeding every other weekend to meet unit needs
• May be required to float to a sister facility in Laguna
• Epic EMR used for charting
• Responsibilities include circulating procedures, monitoring procedural sedation, 12-lead EKG interpretation, and dysrhythmia management
• Royal Blue scrubs required for RN staff; OR scrubs provided
• Free parking available on-site
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
• RTO requests should be submitted upfront, as post-submission requests may not be accommodated
