Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN with cardiac catheterization expertise for a short-term acute care hospital. On-call availability and OR RN licensure are required.

Responsibilities include working in the Cath Lab and EP Lab, floating between units, with a 4x10 hour day shift schedule and 1:1 patient care. On-call duties and travel may be required, with Epic EMR used for charting.

Qualifications

• Active OR RN license; compact license required at submission.
• Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience.
• ACLS and BLS required; NIHSS preferred.
• Experience with PCI, stent placement, and pacemaker/defibrillator procedures preferred.
• IR, Neuro, and Stroke experience required; Trauma Level II preferred.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN with cardiac catheterization expertise for a short-term acute care hospital, requiring on-call availability and OR RN licensure.

Requirements

• Active OR RN license, Compact license must be in hand at submission
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS (NIHSS preferred)
• Experience with cardiac procedures including IABP, Impella, and STEMI required
• IR, Neuro, and Stroke experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Skilled in sheath removal/monitoring, vascular closure systems, 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation, and dysrhythmia management
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, including left and right heart catheterization
• Experience with PCI, cardiac stent placement, and pacemaker/defibrillator procedures preferred
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab and EP Lab setting
• Perform procedures including PCI, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and pacemaker/AICD insertion and programming
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and emergency medications
• Maintain infection prevention and isolation precaution standards
• Any scrub color accepted
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted site
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
