Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Texas. Requires 2+ years in cath lab and an active TX or compact RN license. BLS, ACLS, NIHSS are required. Prior travel experience and experience with an electronic charting system are preferred.

You will perform diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, and stent placement in a day-shift schedule with on-call duties. Travel housing and licensure reimbursements are available.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at submission
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience
• Prior travel experience required
• Experience with electronic charting system; Altera preferred

Responsibilities

• Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting
• Day shift: 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) with a rotating day off
• On-call about 7–10 days per month, including one weekend
• Performs diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures, PCI, and stent placement
• Uses ACT and End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, cardioversion, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Circulate cardiac cath lab procedures and monitor patients during caths
• Manage dysrhythmias and administer procedural sedation under physician direction
• Facility drug screen on arrival; avoid substances including CBD

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 2+ years of cath lab experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cath lab required
• Prior travel experience required
• Experience with any electronic charting system required, Altera experience preferred
• Proficiency with IV therapy, blood product administration, and infusion pumps
• Knowledge of antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and thrombolytics

Responsibilities

• Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) and a rotating day off
• On-call responsibilities of approximately 7-10 days per month, including about one weekend per month
• Performs cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, and cardiac stent placement
• Utilizes skills such as ACT monitoring, End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, cardioversion, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Circulate cardiac cath lab procedures and monitor patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional catheterizations
• Manage dysrhythmias and administer procedural sedation under physician direction
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with mandatory clearance required
• Candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could result in a positive drug screen
• Must be available to complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting the offer or provide a completion plan
• Previous permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year to return as a travel candidate
• Candidates must reside within 150 miles for local radius consideration; local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this role given the required travel experience
