Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a day shift position in North Carolina. The role requires at least 2 years in a cardiac cath lab and an active NC or compact RN license; Epic EMR experience is required.

The travel assignment includes a 3x12 hour day schedule (7:00-19:00) with call coverage and floating between units as needed. Travel-ready candidates are encouraged; non-local applicants should note distance restrictions and RTO rules.

Qualifications

• Active NC state or Compact RN license required (pending license not accepted).
• Minimum of 2 years of cardiac cath lab experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• No background or license actions within the past 12 months.
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab of a short-term acute care, Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:00)
• Approximately 9 days of call required during a 5-week schedule period, including weekends
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including between like units or affiliated campuses
• Uses Epic EMR
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• RTO limited to a maximum of 4 days, subject to manager discretion
• Holiday RTO requests limited to one major holiday
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• Day shift assignments allow one extension (maximum of two contracts total); after reaching the maximum, a 6-month waiting period applies before reapplying
