Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN with at least 3 years of cardiac cath lab experience for a 16-week days assignment requiring on-call coverage.

The role entails performing PCI, pacemaker placements, and other cath lab procedures in a two-room unit, with on-call shifts and a mix of day/evening hours. Travel-ready RNs are welcomed with on-site orientation and benefits for housing and licensure.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Maryland or Compact) in hand.
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required, CPI provided on-site during orientation
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of cardiac cath lab RN experience required
• First-time travelers with proven 3 years of cath lab background will be considered

Responsibilities

• Cath Lab unit with 2 procedure rooms averaging 7-14 cases daily
• Patient diagnoses include ACS, CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, AFib, and Bradycardia
• Procedures performed include PCI, pacemaker placement, loop monitors, TEE, and cardioversions
• Equipment used includes balloon pump and IVUS
• 4x10 day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with one late shift per week (10:00 AM-8:30 PM)
• On-call with 30-minute arrival window, ~10-13 call shifts per month
• On-call shifts run 5:30 PM-7:00 AM Mon-Fri and 24 hours on weekends/holidays
• Weekend shifts required per department needs
• Holiday coverage as scheduled
• Floating to pre-op/PACU within unit as needed
• Provide direct patient care for catheterization procedures including PCI, pacemaker placement, and cardioversions
• Sterile scrubs provided for each shift
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced local travel rate

• On-call required with a 30-minute arrival window, approximately 10-13 call shifts per month
• On-call shifts run 5:30 PM-7:00 AM Monday-Friday and 24 hours on weekends/holidays
• Weekend shifts required based on departmental and on-call needs
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• Floating to pre-op/PACU within unit specialty as needed
• Provide direct patient care for cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI, pacemaker placement, and cardioversions
• Sterile surgical scrubs provided to don and doff each shift
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced local travel rate
