Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Cath Lab/EP RN with Cerner charting experience and conscious sedation skills to support a high-acuity cardiac and interventional radiology caseload in Indiana.

The role requires a IN license, 1+ year Cath Lab/EP experience, ACLS and BLS, and circulating/conscious sedation proficiency. Responsibilities include day shift 4x10s (7:00 AM–5:30 PM), possible EP-focused 12-hour shifts, call 10–12 days per month, and travel within hospital or affiliate settings.

Qualifications

• Active IN license in hand prior to start date
• Minimum 1 year Cath Lab/EP experience
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Graduate of ACEN/CCNE nursing program
• 2 supervisor references required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Work in Cath Lab/EP setting within a hospital environment
• Day shift 4x10 hours (7:00 AM–5:30 PM); EP-competent circulating staff may have 12-hour shifts on Thursdays and Fridays
• Daily census of 5-7 patients
• Call approximately 10-12 days per month, including every third weekend
• Utilize Cerner and McKesson documentation systems
• Operate equipment including McKesson-Hemo, balloon pumps, Angio Jet, CSI Diamondback, Penumbra, Inari, Roto Pro, Jet Stream, Philips/Siemens C-arms, ACIST, Medrad injector, Medtronic temp pacer, IVUS, Abbott OCT
• Perform cardiac procedures: LHC, RHC, balloon pump insertion, temporary and permanent pacer/defibrillator placement, pericardial effusion management, STEMI call response
• Perform IR procedures: venous access, drain placement, GI tube insertion, PE/DVT treatment, TIPS, PV procedures, fistula work, UFEs, prostate embolizations, GI/postpartum/internal bleed management
• Floating within hospital or affiliate hospital
• Circulating for cardiac and EP procedures and administering/monitoring conscious sedation
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• RTO requests of 5 days or less auto-approved; longer time off requires facility approval
• First-time travelers welcome
• Prior perm or PRN employees must wait 12 months before traveling
• Travelers with 12 months travel experience must take a break to reset eligibility
• Indiana residents considered local candidates
