Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab position requiring an IN or compact RN license and 18 months of EP/cath lab experience.

The role involves working in the EP Lab and Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab with a 4x10 day schedule, on-call requirements, and potential travel within Indiana and nearby affiliates. Cerner charting is used; first-time travelers are welcome.

Qualifications

• Active IN RN license in hand prior to start.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA or RQI accepted).
• Minimum 18 months EP/cath lab experience required.
• Cerner charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the EP Lab and Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Day shift 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, Mon–Fri.
• On-call ~1 evening per week and every 4th weekend with 30-min response time.
• Floating within hospital or to nearby affiliate hospital.
• Circulate and scrub for EP and cardiac cath lab procedures.
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab position requiring an IN or compact RN license and 18 months of EP/cath lab experience.

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required in hand prior to start
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA or RQI accepted)
• Minimum 18 months of EP/cath lab experience required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Experience with electrophysiology procedures including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, AICD insertion/programming, LAA closure, and pacemaker insertion
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including left and right heart catheterization and PCI
• Experience with IV therapy, central line insertion/management, and implanted port care
• Experience with TAVR and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• RN degree from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation
• 2 supervisor references required

Responsibilities

• Work in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab and Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• On-call required approximately one evening per week and every 4th weekend with a 30-minute response time
• Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Cerner charting system used
• Circulate and scrub for EP and cardiac cath lab procedures, including pre- and post-procedure care
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Local candidates (IN residents) accepted though not eligible for the travel pay rate in this unit
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former IU Health perm or PRN employees must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Travelers with 12 months of accrued travel employment within IU Health must take a designated break to reset eligibility (3 months for out-of-state residents, 6 months for in-state residents)
