Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/EP RN for a day shift in Arizona. Candidates must have an active AZ or Compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, and at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience. The role involves diagnostic/interventional cath procedures, procedural sedation, IV therapy, and Meditech charting.

The position requires 4x10-hour days (6:30 AM–5:00 PM) with on-call 15–16 days over six weeks and a 30-minute response time. Travel and housing support are offered.

Qualifications

Active RN license AZ or Compact;
BLS and ACLS certifications required;
Minimum 1 year Cath Lab experience;
Experience with diagnostic and interventional catheterizations;
Familiarity with vascular closure, IV therapy and procedural sedation.

Responsibilities

Work in Interventional and Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab;
Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures;
Monitor patients during procedural sedation and manage dysrhythmias;
Handle hemostasis and vascular closure after procedures;
Follow radiation and laser safety protocols;

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP RN for a day-shift position requiring at least one year of cath lab experience and an active AZ or compact RN license.

Requirements

Active RN license (AZ or Compact) currently in hand
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
Charting system experience required
Experience with diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, including left/right heart catheterization and PCI
Experience with vascular closure systems and sheath removal/monitoring
Experience administering and monitoring procedural sedation
Proficiency in 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition and cardioversion
Experience with IV therapy including starting and maintaining IVs

Responsibilities

Work in the Interventional and Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab
Patient diagnoses include CAD, AMI, CHF, and PAD
Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
On-call requirement of 15-16 call days within a 6-week period with a 30-minute response time
Uses Meditech charting system
Monday orientations required
Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
Monitor patients during procedural sedation and manage dysrhythmias
Handle hemostasis and vascular closure following procedures
Follow radiation and laser safety protocols
Holiday coverage required
Keep requested RTO to a minimum
Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
Local candidates are not accepted
Travel pairs are accepted
Former permanent employees must wait 12 months before returning as travelers
