Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab RN for a Magnet, Level II Trauma hospital in Alaska. Active AK RN license and 2 years Cath Lab experience required, with BLS/ACLS and Epic EMR proficiency.

The position features a 4x10 schedule (7:00am–5:00pm), on-call duties weekly and periodic weekend coverage, with occasional float to EP/IR. First-time travelers accepted; housing and other benefits provided.

Qualifications

Active AK RN license required (in hand for auto offer; pending license accepted otherwise).
Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Epic EMR experience required.
Proficiency in ACT monitoring, sheath removal/monitoring, procedural sedation monitoring, interventional catheterizations, and management of dysrhythmias.

Responsibilities

Work in the Cath Lab unit of an acute care hospital.
4x10 day shift schedule, 7:00am-5:00pm.
On-call one day per week plus every 4th/5th weekend (Fri 1800 to Mon 0730).
Approximately one Saturday per month required as part of scheduled shifts.
May float to EP or IR units within scope.
Uses Epic charting system.
Located in Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma hospital recognized as US News Best Hospital in Alaska.
Scrubs provided by facility.
Free parking available.
First-time travelers accepted.
Local candidates not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
Former permanent employees may return as travelers after 3-month waiting period, if reside >50 miles away.
Only one time-off request permitted per 13-week assignment.
Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays.

Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required

Proficiency in cath lab skills such as ACT monitoring, sheath removal/monitoring, procedural sedation monitoring, interventional catheterizations, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
Must provide full SSN and DOB for compliance
Must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem)
