Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab RN for a Magnet, Level II Trauma hospital in Alaska. Active AK RN license and 2 years Cath Lab experience required, with BLS/ACLS and Epic EMR proficiency.

The position features a 4x10 schedule (7:00am–5:00pm), on-call duties weekly and periodic weekend coverage, with occasional float to EP/IR. First-time travelers accepted; housing and other benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Active AK RN license required (in hand for auto offer; pending license accepted otherwise).
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Proficiency in ACT monitoring, sheath removal/monitoring, procedural sedation monitoring, interventional catheterizations, and management of dysrhythmias.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cath Lab unit of an acute care hospital.
• 4x10 day shift schedule, 7:00am-5:00pm.
• On-call one day per week plus every 4th/5th weekend (Fri 1800 to Mon 0730).
• Approximately one Saturday per month required as part of scheduled shifts.
• May float to EP or IR units within scope.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Located in Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma hospital recognized as US News Best Hospital in Alaska.
• Scrubs provided by facility.
• Free parking available.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Local candidates not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Former permanent employees may return as travelers after 3-month waiting period, if reside >50 miles away.
• Only one time-off request permitted per 13-week assignment.
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays.
