Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital in North Dakota. This role requires an active ND state or compact RN license and 2 years of case management experience, with BLS certification and insurance portal experience.

CCM is preferred but not required. The position involves UR for admission and discharge planning in a CAH setting, with a 8–10 patient daily caseload, using MEDITECH EMR.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Day shift: Monday–Friday, 07:00–15:30; no weekends/holidays/on-call.
• Utilization review and discharge planning for inpatient, observation, and swing bed.
• Mentorship from market Care Manager; orientation provided.

• CCM (Certified Case Manager) preferred but not required
• Minimum of 2 full years of case management experience required
• Insurance portal experience required
• BSN not required
• No InterQual or Milliman experience required
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility

Responsibilities

• Acute care Critical Access Hospital (CAH) setting in the Case Management department
• Covers inpatient, observation, and swing bed areas
• Handles UR for Notice of Admission (NOA) and discharge planning
• Caseload of 8-10 patients per day
• Common patient types include COPD, CHF, and debility for swing bed patients
• Uses MEDITECH EMR
• No clinical involvement required
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 0700-1530
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements
• No CM Manager/Supervisor present on each shift
• Responsibilities include utilization review and discharge planning for inpatient, observation, and swing bed patients
• A market Care Manager will be available as a mentor throughout the assignment
• 2-3 shifts of unit/department specific orientation provided
• Pharmacy involved in discharge planning; respiratory therapy not involved
• Dress code is any scrubs or business casual
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year; PRN employment through outside firms is acceptable
