Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute hospital setting. The role requires 2+ years of case management experience and prior travel assignment experience, with active RN license (compact or MD) and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Active RN license - compact or MD license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent case management experience within last 7 years.
• Prior travel assignment experience.
• Acute hospital experience (ICU, MS, SDU/PCU/IMC/Obs, Women's Services).
• Discharge planning and large caseload management experience.
• Experience with admission criteria, care coordination, and continued stay reviews.
• Social workers with 2+ years experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Acute hospital Case Management/Utilization Review unit.
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
• Discharge planning and large caseloads, up to 20 patients per day.
• Every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Floating to Medical units, ICU/CCU, and Maternal Child.
• Utilization review tasks including admission criteria review and continued stay reviews.
• Coordinate care and manage discharge planning for a high-volume caseload.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• First-time travelers are not eligible; at least one prior travel assignment required.
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate.
• MedStar-employment history rules apply.

• Community hospital experience preferred
• First-time travelers are not eligible; at least one prior travel assignment is required
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
• Candidates with previous MedStar employment must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment, maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
