The role involves working a 5x8 schedule (8:00 AM–4:30 PM), floating between two nearby facilities, with every other weekend and a 3-of-5 holiday commitment. Travel may include related facilities within 50 miles for local rates.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license (Compact license must be in hand at submission).
• Minimum 2 years of acute care case management/discharge planning experience.
• Prior travel assignment experience required; first-time travelers may be considered upon screening.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Two references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years (may include Charge RNs or Leads).

Responsibilities

• Case management/utilization review in an acute hospital setting.
• Care coordination and discharge planning.
• Discharge criteria review and utilization review using InterQual criteria.
• Work day: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 5x8 hours; float between two facilities ~30 minutes apart.
• Every other weekend and 3 of 5 major holidays.
• Travel may require floating between sister facilities near the contracted site.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility for local candidate rate.
• Must disclose prior work history with the health system.

Responsibilities

• Case Management/Utilization Review unit within an acute hospital setting
• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, admission criteria review, and utilization review using InterQual criteria
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Requires floating between two facilities located about 30 minutes apart, with varying weekly distribution of days at each location
• Every other weekend required
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Perform care coordination, discharge planning, admission criteria review, and utilization review duties using InterQual criteria
• Familiarity with CMS and HIPAA regulatory guidelines expected
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted site
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible at the local candidate rate
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront at the time of application
• Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they do not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with the health system, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles
