Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with discharge planning expertise and Epic charting experience for a day shift assignment in Dalton, GA.

You will manage case loads in an acute hospital, coordinate care for adults and geriatrics, and collaborate with providers, nursing staff and families.

Requirements include active GA or compact RN license, BLS, 2+ years in case management, and travel nursing background; Epic and InterQual experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of case management experience.
• Discharge planning experience required.
• Epic charting experience (current or within past 6 months) required.
• Prior travel experience required.
• Recent Epic and InterQual experience if remote for 6 months.
• Strong communication with providers, nurses, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Case Management in an acute hospital setting.
• Adult and geriatric patient population.
• Patient load of 1:25–30.
• Day shift schedule, 8:30am–4:30pm.
• Every other weekend as needed.
• Hours may exceed 8 hours per day depending on patient load.
• Case managers assigned by geographic area.
• Care coordination, discharge planning, needs assessment, DME ordering, plan of care management.
• Familiarity with CMS regulatory guidelines preferred.
• Previous permanent employees eligible to return as travelers after 1 year of separation.

• Prior travel experience required
• Candidates who have been remote for the past 6 months must have recent experience with Epic and Interqual within that timeframe
• Strong communication skills with providers, nursing staff, and patients/families required
