Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an RN Case Manager with BSN and 2+ years of case management/utilization review experience for a day-shift float position in an acute hospital setting.

The role requires an active CA RN license, BSN, BLS, and Epic charting experience. Travel assignment experience is preferred, with a 4x10 day shift from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM and no weekend requirements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Care coordination and discharge planning in an acute hospital setting.

• Duties may include appeals and denials management, pre-certification and prior authorization reviews.
• Float position covering other units with case management needs.
• Day shift, 4x10 hours, Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Acute hospital setting within a Case Management/Utilization Review department
• Float position covering other units with case management needs
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours (Mon-Fri), 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• No weekend requirements
• No on-call requirements
• Epic charting system used
• Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, utilization review, and medical necessity determination using evidence-based guidelines such as InterQual and Milliman criteria
• Duties may include appeals and denials management, pre-certification and prior authorization reviews, concurrent and retrospective reviews
• Business casual attire required
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Recommended to keep RTO under 7 days per assignment when possible
• Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or permanent employees must meet a 12-month separation requirement before reapplying
• Candidates currently active with any University of California entity are not eligible for consideration
