Job summary

Details: 12-bed CSICU with 1:1 for open-heart recovery and 1:2 for general ICU patients; 12-hour day shifts, three days per week, with EOW and EOH. Requires NC/compact license and certifications.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license.
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required.
• ACLS certification required per department standards.
• Minimum one year CSICU experience required.
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required.
• BSN or MSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular and ICU patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Participate in patient and family education, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and unit performance improvement activities.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CSICU) position requiring at least one year of recent CSICU experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• 12-bed Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CSICU) providing postoperative care for cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, and intensive care patients
• Patient population ranges from young adults to geriatric patients
• Staffing ratio of 1:1 for direct open heart recovery and 1:2 for general ICU patients
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm, three days per week
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements
