Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU Nights position requiring 2+ years of cardiac/ICU experience and an active AZ or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular ICU of a hospital setting
• 15-bed unit with a 2:1 patient ratio
• Cares for cardiac and critical care patients including post-CABG, STEMI, and vascular cases
• Utilizes ventilators and vasoactive drips
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
• Requires 6 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) within a 6-week schedule for a 13-week contract
• Float requirement to Medical ICU and Progressive Care Unit
• No on-call responsibilities
• Scrubs may be any solid color

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac/ICU experience required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Experience with open heart, balloon pump, and CRRT preferred

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients including post-CABG, STEMI, and vascular cases
• Candidates with open heart, balloon pump, and CRRT experience will be given priority consideration
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Time off requests must be less than 1 week
• Not eligible for consideration if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
