Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU night shift position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Surgical Intensive Care Unit setting caring for cardiovascular patients
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to MSICU, Neuro ICU, or Burn ICU as needed with brief orientation provided
• Navy scrub color required

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK or Compact) required at time of consideration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU or related critical care experience
• Proficiency in IV therapy, arterial line management, central line care, and PICC line management
• Skilled in blood product administration and starting/maintaining IVs
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
• Experience assisting with chest tube insertion/removal
• Knowledge of chronic/acute renal failure management and CVVHD/CRRT
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Ability to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with CVA/acute stroke management
• Skilled in Impella management and sheath removal
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management
• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Experience with IV insulin protocols
• Epic charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel position
• Former staff must have been separated from permanent employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation

Pay

In compliance with state pay transparency laws, we disclose that the estimated weekly pay range for this role is $1,705 - $1,894. The $1,894 weekly pay listed in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range.

Weekly Wages: $648/wk

Regular Hours: $18.00 x 36 hours/wk = $648

Weekly Stipends: $1,246/wk

Lodging: $110.00 x 7 days = $770

Meals & Incidentals: $68.00 x 7 days = $476

Assignment Total (13 Weeks): $24,622

Annual Equivalent (52 Weeks): $98,488
