Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU travel assignment. Active VA or Compact RN license and 2 years CVICU experience required. Night shifts are 4x12s, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, with every-other-weekend requirements and Epic Clin Doc experience preferred.

Floating to regular ICU, CV stepdown, and/or cardiac telemetry units may be needed. On-call duties apply to select areas, with a 30-mile/30-minute response to campus.

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring active VA or Compact RN license and 2 years of CVICU experience.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Uses Epic Clin Doc charting system; class type (Accelerated or 2-Day) depends on candidate's recent Epic experience
• Float requirement to regular ICU (potential COVID patient care), CV stepdown, and/or cardiac telemetry unit
• On-call responsibilities apply only to select areas such as OT, IR, and Cath Lab, with a 30 mile/30 minute response requirement to campus

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients
• Floating, when required, will be in rotation with client staff per facility policy and Joint Commission standards
• Facility is smoke and nicotine free
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), with exemptions subject to CMS guideline compliance
• COVID vaccination or qualified exemption required, subject to CMS guideline compliance
• Up to 7 hours of non-billable training modules required, completed during orientation
• RTO requests should be minimal and submitted upfront; approval is at manager discretion and expect to work some holidays
• Previous VHC staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler
