Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position in Denver, CO. The role requires an active CO or compact RN license and prior ICU experience.

The candidate should have an ASN, preferably BSN, and current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications. Epic EMR experience is required, with a potential temporary float to related departments and on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license, CO or compact, required.
• Minimum two years of RN experience required.
• ASN required, BSN preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from the American Heart Association, not expiring prior to start.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital setting.
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week.
• 36 hours per week.
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications.
• May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
• Uses Epic for charting.
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care including health teaching and counseling.
• Provide therapy and treatment, supervise or delegate to others, and refer patients as needed.
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Previous permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for this assignment.
