Job summary

Trinity Health's FirstChoice RT program seeks experienced Respiratory Therapists for mobile staffing across MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center and beyond. Opportunities include travel, regional assignments, and date-flexible shifts.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years as RTs, RRT credentials, and valid state licensure where required. Competitive premium pay, per-diem options, and 403(b) participation are available.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner program; registry eligible.
• Current RRT credential and valid state license where required.
• Interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
• Analytical skills and basic computer skills in Windows.
• Ability to float across locations within the health system.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout hospital locations and regions as needed.
• Follow AARC guidelines and professional practice standards.
• Act independently within scope of knowledge and experience.

What you will do:

• Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions

• Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice per AARC guidelines.

• Acts independently & appropriately within, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area

• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes

• Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes

• Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities

• Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist

• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner -Accredited Respiratory Therapist program: Registry eligible.

• Current RRT credential .

• Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state you are working .

• Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, physicians and other health personnel and department management during all situations and in line with our mission and values.

• Analytical skills necessary to identify patient’s needs.

• Demonstrated basic computer skills in a Windows environment.

Pay Range: $32.22-$35.00 per hour + Tax Free Allowance if Qualified or $60 per hour for local
Actual compensation offered will be within the range stated above but vary based on factors including experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, and certification requirements, as well as comparisons to current colleagues in similar roles.
