Job summary

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for the FirstChoice staffing program. The role involves floating across hospital locations, delivering care per AARC guidelines, and maintaining high-quality outcomes for patients and teams.

This full-time night-shift position offers premium pay, flexible scheduling, travel opportunities, daily pay, and license/certification reimbursements, with a 13-week assignment starting ASAP.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Graduate of a two-year Advanced Practitioner Accredited Respiratory Therapist program: Registry eligible.
• Current RRT credential.
• Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state you are working.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with patients, physicians and other health personnel.
• Analytical skills necessary to identify patient’s needs.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills in a Windows environment.

Pay Range: $32.22-$35.00 per hour + Tax Free Allowance if Qualified or $60 per hour for local
Actual compensation offered will be within the range stated above but vary based on factors including experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, and certification requirements, as well as comparisons to current colleagues in similar roles.
