Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join FirstChoice RT, offering premium compensation and flexible assignments across hospital locations.

This role supports float across the system, requires RRT, state license, and 2 years of experience; benefits include Premium Pay, DailyPay, and license reimbursements.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Graduate of a two-year accredited Respiratory Therapist program; registry eligible.
• Current RRT credential.
• Valid state license in Respiratory Care where required.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with patients and staff.
• Analytical skills to identify patient needs.
• Basic computer skills in a Windows environment.

What you will do:

• Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions

• Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice per AARC guidelines.

• Acts independently & appropriately within, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area

• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes

• Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes

• Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities

• Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist

• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner -Accredited Respiratory Therapist program: Registry eligible.

• Current RRT credential .

• Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state you are working .

• Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, physicians and other health personnel and department management during all situations and in line with our mission and values.

• Analytical skills necessary to identify patient’s needs.

• Demonstrated basic computer skills in a Windows environment.

Pay Range: $32.22-$35.00 per hour + Tax Free Allowance if Qualified or $60 per hour for local
Actual compensation offered will be within the range stated above but vary based on factors including experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, and certification requirements, as well as comparisons to current colleagues in similar roles.
