Trinity Health FirstChoice at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time, 12-hour night shift on mobile staffing assignments across the system. The role requires floating between locations, delivering care per AARC guidelines, and collaborating with hospital staff.

The position offers premium pay, flexible scheduling, travel and per diem opportunities, and a path to participate in the 403B program.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner - Accredited Respiratory Therapist program; Registry eligible.
• Current RRT credential.
• Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state you are working.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with patients, physicians and health personnel.
• Analytical skills to identify patient needs.

What you will do

• Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions
• Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice per AARC guidelines.
• Acts independently & appropriately within, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area
• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes
• Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes
• Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities
• Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner -Accredited Respiratory Therapist program: Registry eligible.
• Current RRT credential.
• Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state you are working.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, physicians and other health personnel and department management during all situations and in line with our mission and values.
• Analytical skills necessary to identify patient’s needs.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills in a Windows environment.

Pay Range: $32.22-$35.00 per hour + Tax Free Allowance if Qualified or $60 per hour for local

Actual compensation offered will be within the range stated above but vary based on factors including experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, and certification requirements, as well as comparisons to current colleagues in similar roles.
