American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric experience for a 13-week day shift travel contract. The role includes work on adult telemetry, ED, and potentially pediatric floors with a 3x12 schedule (6:45 AM–7:15 PM) and every-other-weekend shifts.

The candidate must hold BLS and PALS, RRT certification, and CA state license if applicable, with a minimum of two years of experience and prior travel assignments. Epic EMR experience is required.

Formación

• Current BLS and PALS certification.
• Current RRT certification (NBRC and CA state license required if applicable).
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• Prior travel assignment experience required.
• Experience treating pediatric patients required.
• Ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, SIMV.
• Airway management including intubation assist and extubation.
• Arterial punctures and ABGs interpretation.
• Two professional references obtained within the past year.

Responsabilidades

• Work primarily on adult telemetry floors, in the ED, and potentially pediatric floors.
• ED treats critical patients from birth to geriatric age.
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM.
• Every other weekend required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Provide respiratory care across adult critical care, ED, and pediatric settings.
• Deliver medications via aerosol, MDI, and nebulizers.
• Manage patients with ARDS, aspiration, pneumonia, and fresh tracheostomy.
• Pediatric conditions such as RSV and respiratory distress syndrome preferred.
• Experience with ECMO, bronchoscopy, and CF care preferred.
• Perform patient transport between departments and ambulance transport.

• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend required

• Provide respiratory care across adult critical care, emergency department, and pediatric settings
• Perform medication delivery via aerosol, MDI, and nebulizer systems
• Manage patients with ARDS, aspiration, pneumonia, and fresh tracheostomy
• Experience with pediatric conditions such as RSV and respiratory distress syndrome preferred
• Experience with ECMO, bronchoscopy, and cystic fibrosis care preferred
• Perform patient transport including inter-departmental and ambulance transport
• Maximum of 7 RTO days per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted per contract
• Returning staff must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at local rate
• Must complete required lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
