American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment in Corpus Christi, TX. The role requires adult critical care experience and ACLS/BLS certification, with notable NICU Level 3 exposure preferred.

A dynamic hospital environment includes ICU, ED, NICU, Med/Surg, and Tele units. The RT team consists of about 20 therapists, with day/night shifts and a rotating weekend schedule.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Minimum 1 year of adult critical care experience.
• Experience in NICU Level 3 is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide respiratory therapy in ICU, ED, NICU, Med/Surg, and Tele units.
• Operate ventilators and deliver therapies including oxygen and aerosols.
• Assist with bronchoscopies and airway management as needed.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical ventilation and patient status.
• Educate patients, families, and staff; maintain equipment and sterility.

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment requiring adult critical care experience and ACLS/BLS certification.

Requirements

• RCP license with Texas Medical Board required if applicable
• RRT certification with the National Board for Respiratory Care
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Critical care experience with adult patients required
• NICU Level 3 experience preferred, including use of Oscillators, InoMax, 980s, Hamilton C6, and Vapotherm
• PALS and NRP certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Respiratory Therapy department within a hospital offering ICU, ED, NICU, Med/Surg, and Tele units
• Unit includes 24-bed ICU, 16-bed ED, 8-bed ED, 16-bed NICU, 40-bed Med/Surg, and 25-bed Tele
• Staffed with approximately 20 Respiratory Therapists including supervisors on day and night shifts
• Uses equipment including 840, 980, V60, Vapotherm, Hamilton MR1, C1, and C6 ventilators
• EMR system is Meditech
• Shift hours are 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Rotating weekend schedule required
• May float to Doctors Regional Medical Center RT Department
• Perform patient assessments and administer therapies including oxygen, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy
• Assist with bedside and endoscopy suite bronchoscopies and placement of artificial airways
• Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation for patients
• Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients
• Respond to emergent patient situations to ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation
• Assist at moderate and high-risk deliveries for neonatal stabilization and resuscitation
• Serve as a clinical resource providing education to patients, families, and staff
• Perform equipment setup, operation, cleaning, sterilization, and storage duties
• Pewter grey scrubs required as dress code
• Local candidates will not be considered due to a 50-mile radius rule
