American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a night shift in an acute care setting requiring NICU experience and CRT/RRT certification. The role includes ABG draws, ventilator care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and assisting with intubation as needed.

You will work in a Level III trauma facility with NICU, ICU and ER coverage, rotating weekends and holidays, with self-scheduling options and travel housing support.

Qualificações

• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
• CRT or RRT certification via NBRC required.
• STABLE and NRP certification required for NICU/infant care.
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required.
• NICU experience required.
• Must be able to assist with intubation and place an LMA.
• Able to draw and analyze ABGs and administer breathing treatments, BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilator management.

Responsabilidades

• Acute care setting at a Level III trauma facility.
• Covers inpatient and ER areas including ICU, stepdown, MedSurg, small Peds unit, and Level III NICU.
• Patient population ranges from NICU to geriatrics with up to 30 treatments per shift depending on season.
• Uses Drager vents, Cervo-NICU, Hamilton transport vent, Vapotherm, and Philips V60/V30 equipment.
• EPIC EMR used.
• 12-hour night shifts, 6pm-6am, self-scheduling with option for block scheduling.
• Works every other weekend and holidays as needed.
• Low census call per contract.
• Floats to ICU, floors, NICU, and ER.
• Team lead or charge RT always present on shift; travelers may serve as charge based on experience.
• ABG draws and analysis, breathing treatments, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator care, and assisting with bedside bronchoscopy.
• Does not perform EKGs.
• Assists with intubation rather than performing independently.
• Never the sole RT in-house during a shift.
• Must attend department meetings once a month.
• Unit-specific orientation ~1 week based on experience.
• First-time travelers considered.

• License required if applicable
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
