American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a critical access hospital. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of experience and is comfortable working independently as the sole RT on shift.

Requirements include ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications, plus experience in ER and critical care settings. 60+ miles from facility required for travel rate; LifePoint perm staff last 12 months is a disqualifier. Open to travel arrangements.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RT experience in ER/ICU or critical care.
• Ability to work independently as sole RT on shift.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• 13-week assignment in the RT department of a 25-bed critical access hospital.
• Serves patients of all ages.
• Operates Bipap/CPAP, ventilators, and Vapotherm equipment.
• Uses Meditech EHR system.
• Shift hours from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM.
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend.
• On-call requirements as needed.
• Floating requirements as needed.
• Works independently in a critical access hospital setting, often as the sole RT on shift.
• Professional demeanor expected.
• Scrub color is flexible, but casual wear is not acceptable.
• Candidates must live 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate.
• Candidates who worked perm staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible.
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time.
