Responsibilities

• Maintain scrub color requirements (solid black or black/white).
• Complete pre-start modules (4–10 hours, non-billable).
• Adhere to travel policy: RTO limits, holiday approvals, and travel rules.

Job description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position at a short-term acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and the ability to float between campuses.

Requirements

• State or Compact RRT license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Pending license not accepted

Responsibilities

• Short-term acute care hospital setting within the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics department
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Must be able and willing to float between both campuses
• Uses Epic EMR
• Scrub color requirement: solid black or black and white
• Candidate may float within hospital or sister campus depending on booking
• Pre-start modules required, approximately 4-10 hours, non-billable
• RTO limited to a maximum of 4 days unless otherwise stated
• Only one holiday may be approved during the assignment
• First-time travelers accepted
• Locals not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the main campus
• Returning travelers must be gone for 1 year before returning to this system
• Travelers may extend contracts according to system policy, after which a 6-month absence is required before returning
