Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1+ year of specialty experience for a hospital-based critical care and emergency department role in Billings, MT.

The position requires travel experience and Cerner charting proficiency, with a day shift of 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility. Casual travel perks include housing allowance and licensure reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Current BLS and RRT certification required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty required
• Prior travel experience required
• Trauma Level I hospital experience preferred
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Proficiency with airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Experience with oxygen therapy delivery methods including HFNC, bag and mask, and trach collar
• References required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based RRT role covering Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:15
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• No floating required unless otherwise agreed upon during interview or offer
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Provide respiratory care services across adult critical care and emergency department settings
• Perform airway suctioning, nasal and oral airway placement, and sputum specimen collection
• Manage ventilator settings and troubleshoot high pressure alarms
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered, with no exceptions for local candidates
• Former permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before eligibility
• Candidates with prior license or background check issues may be considered on a case-by-case basis
