American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist for a Level 4 NICU/PICU night shift in Texas. Requires CRT or RRT, Texas RCP license, and BLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS with 6–12 months PICU/NICU experience. Night shift 6:30 PM–7:00 AM, 13-week assignment with weekend requirements.

The role serves Pedi ED, PICU, PIMC, Pedi Surg, Pedi Onc/BMT and Level 4 NICU beds, with a diverse pediatric caseload and a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• CRT or RRT credential required.
• Texas RCP license required.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP and PALS certifications required.
• 6 months to 1 year PICU or Level 3/4 NICU experience required.
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Staff the Respiratory Therapy department across Pedi ED, PICU, PIMC, Pedi Surg, Pedi Onc/BMT and Level 4 NICU.
• Staffing of 6-12 respiratory therapists per shift across units.
• Caseload of approximately 30-40 units of therapy per shift.
• Operate ventilators and therapy devices (Servo U with NAVA, Avea, V60, HFNC, Vapotherm, CPT etc.).
• Perform nebulizer therapy, airway clearance, BiPAP, ventilator management, HFNC, bronch and ABG.
• Use Meditech EMR for patient records.
• Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM; 13-week assignment.
• At least 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.
• Potential voluntary floating to adult units; collaborate with pediatric team across units.

• Caseload of approximately 30-40 units of therapy per shift
• Equipment includes Servo U ventilator with NAVA, Avea ventilator, V60 noninvasive, Vapotherm, Blender HFNC, Vest CPT, Redbox IPV, MetaNeb, Cough Assist, and Percussor CPT
• Performs nebulizer therapy, airway clearance, BiPAP, ventilator management, HFNC, bronch assist, and ABG
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Night shift, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, 13-week assignment
• At least 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Voluntary floating to adult units available
• Works as part of a collaborative pediatric respiratory care team across multiple units
• Team player with flexibility to work across varied patient populations preferred
• Dress code consists of olive/sage scrub top with black scrub bottom; all-black attire also accepted
• Does not accept local candidates; 50-mile radius rule applies with no exceptions
