American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) with 1–2 years of experience for a night-shift role covering Adult ICU, ED, and NICU care. Requirements include ACLS/BLS, CRT or RRT, and state licensure if required. Neonatal/pediatric support and ventilation weaning duties are included.

The position features 3x12-hour nights, no on-call, travel flexibility, and a local rate differential for nearby candidates. Epic charting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required, with Adult ICU, ED, and NICU experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• CRT or RRT accepted.
• License required if applicable.
• Intubation assistance, extubation, and airway management experience required.
• Nasal and oral suctioning, tracheostomy care, and pulmonary hygiene experience required.
• Experience caring for ARDS, aspiration, COVID, fresh tracheostomies, and pneumonia required.
• Ventilator management experience required, including BiPAP, CPAP, IMV/SIMV, and weaning from mechanical ventilation.
• High Flow Nasal Cannula, oxygen therapy, and nebulizer treatment experience required.
• Arterial puncture and ABG interpretation experience required.
• Chest physiotherapy and respiratory treatment administration experience required.
• Neonatal and pediatric respiratory support experience required, including apnea monitoring, high-risk delivery support, Bubble CPAP, and neonatal/pediatric ventilation.
• Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Respiratory Therapy / CRT unit supporting neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30).
• Every third weekend required.
• Float required between Adult ICU/ED and NICU as needed.
• No on-call required.
• Block scheduling may be accommodated when possible.
• Epic charting system required.
• Provide comprehensive respiratory care across adult critical care, emergency department, and NICU settings.
• Perform airway management, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and pulmonary hygiene.
• Manage mechanical ventilation and perform weaning from ventilatory support.
• Support high-risk neonatal deliveries and provide neonatal/pediatric respiratory care.
• Scrub colors required: maroon/wine and black.
• Orientation length based on traveler's experience and department needs.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• One pre-approved time-off request permitted per contract.
• Local candidates accepted with a local rate differential.
• Must live within 50-mile radius for local rate eligibility.
