Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a skilled Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) for night shift travel assignments in Texas. The role requires at least 2 years of experience and neonatal exposure, with responsibility across NICU, PICU, ED, and ICU settings.

You will perform ventilator and airway management, administer meds via aerosol/MDI/nebulizer, and chart using Sunrise or Altera systems. The position offers competitive pay, housing assistance, and comprehensive benefits, with a 3x12 or 4x12 night

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience.
• CRT or RRT credential required.
• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.
• Some neonatal experience preferred.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• License required if applicable; license verification for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages, including neonates.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 or 4x12 hours, 18:00-06:00.
• Alternating 36/48 schedule with weekend coverage every other weekend.
• Charting system: Sunrise (required), Altera experience preferred.
• Work settings include Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, LTAC, NICU, and Pediatric Critical Care.
• Performs ventilator management, airway management, and pulmonary hygiene procedures.
• Administers medications via aerosol, MDI, and nebulizer delivery systems.
• Provide respiratory care across neonatal, pediatric, and adult critical care populations.
• Perform intubation assistance, extubation, and tracheostomy care/management.
• Interpret arterial blood gases and manage mechanical ventilation including CPAP/BiPAP.
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, with mandatory compliance.
• Previous perm staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler.
• Local candidates not accepted; radius rule of 50 miles applies for Allied positions.
• Clinicians must complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting an offer or have a completion plan in place.
• Travel experience preferred but not required.
